Mainimati Ruins
Mainimati is around 96 kilometres from Dhaka and was an important Buddhist community centre throughout the mediaeval period. The Salban Vihara, Ananda Vihara, Charpatra Mura, and Kotila Mura are the main attractions here. In the entire region, there are almost 50 Buddhist sites. You may also visit the Mainimati Museum, which has a large collection of bronze sculptures, coins, jewellery, black-stone carvings, and other artefacts discovered during excavations in the area.
