Nikortsminda Cathedral, Georgia
On a hill around 41 km from Tkibuli is where you’ll find Nikortsminda Cathedral. It is a lovely place to visit, and it has outstanding architectural work of a religious nature. In the middle of the 11th century, during the second decade of that century, this church was built. On the walls of the structure are a number of inscriptions that may be read. This building was completely destroyed by an earthquake in 1991, however it was subsequently brought back to fine shape. The intricate sculpture that is located on the front wall of the church is the primary draw for visitors.
