Clarke Quay and Riverside Point, Singapore
Clarke Quay was constructed in the nineteenth century and was named for Sir Andrew Clarke, who was the original owner of the land. He held the positions of Governor of Singapore and Governor of the Straits Settlements throughout his time in office. The location of Clarke Quay is close to that of Clarke Street. It is currently well-known as a popular pedestrian mall in the area. Over fifty different stores selling a wide range of items, including clothing, batik prints, antiques, and many other things can be found here. People who are interested in collecting toys often make a point of going to one of their favourite markets, which is the Sunday flea market.
You may have a meal with your family or friends at one of the top chains of restaurants and pubs serving a variety of cuisines at Clarke Quay, which is located in Singapore. You may also go boating in the evening from Clarke Quay towards the beginning of the Singapore River, which is a fun activity to do.
The Riverside Point may be found on the right hand side of Clarke Quay. In the early days of the establishment, it had a reputation for being a hangout for unsavoury members of the society, such as those who used opium. After some time, such structures were razed so that space could be used as retail and dining establishments.
