International People’s Park
On the same day that the nation celebrated its independence in 2002, this park opened its doors. The park is conveniently located next to both Hotel Turismo and the house of Bishop Belo. Along the paved walks in the park are a lot of trees that have been planted. People go to the park with their companions, whether they be friends or relatives. You may also try the fish meals that are served at the vendors that have been put up close to the middle of the park.
Bishop Belo’s Residence
On the road known as Av dos Direitos Humanos may be found the Bishop Belo Residence. The Integration Monument is a landmark that was built by Indonesians and can be found in close proximity to the Hotel Timor. Motael Church
In the capital city of Dili may be found East Timor’s first and oldest Catholic church. Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

In October of 1989, Pope John Paul II made a pilgrimage to the location and delivered a speech in front of more than 200,000 people at the location where the Tasitolu Altar is located today.
Chinese Temple
A significant religious and cultural hub for the Chinese minority in Timor-Leste is the Chinese Temple, which can be found in Dili. The most notable feature of this location is a statue of Buddha that was transported all the way from China. Areia Branca Beach
This beach is a favourite destination for the natives and is also known by the name Pasir Putia, which literally translates to “white sand.” The sand is pure white, the water is completely transparent, and there is a beautiful view of the port from this beach. Cape Fatucama
Areia Branca beach is approximately a mile away from Cape Fatucama, which is a lovely region with a significant number of pubs and restaurants. Cape Fatucama is also located in this vicinity. You may visit this location to see a statue of Jesus Christ that was built by the people of Indonesia as a present for the people of the nation. The statue is perched on the peak of a hill. The people of the area believe that the monument was erected in such a way that it faces the city of Jakarta in Indonesia in order to convey a message. The monument is around 88 feet tall, and it is visible from a great distance. It is meant to symbolise the 27 provinces of Indonesia. The highest point of the slope also provides stunning panoramas of the surrounding areas and the water below.
Tasitolu Peace Park
The Tasitolu Peace Park has a total of three different salt lakes. This serenity park is located around 8 kilometres outside of the main city of Dili, making it an ideal getaway from the city’s rowdy crowds and hectic pace of life. Enjoying the park in the morning is a great idea so that you can take advantage of its cooler temperatures and more tranquil ambiance. This is also the time of year when the colours of the surrounding hills, which are rich with eucalyptus trees, begin to change, making for a breathtaking scene. There are also several magnificent aquatic birds to be seen here; during the winter months, many of them migrate from Russia.
Secret Gardens
The Secret Gardens location is well known for its beautiful coral gardens, and it is situated around 30 kilometres from Dili. The surrounding waters of these corals are home to a vibrant variety of marine life. This is the first diving site you come across after leaving Dili and heading in an easterly direction.
Black Rock
Black Rock location is a well-known diving destination that can be found to the east of Dili and is about 36 km from Dili. Due to the fact that the currents are so strong here, this location is not suitable for inexperienced divers. When the tide is shifting, it is best to avoid going too far inside. Pelagic fish, nudibranches, manta rays, and a great many other types of fishes are among the marine fauna that may be found in this area.
Dollar Beach
This beach is highly well-known among inexperienced swimmers and divers who are unable to swim well. The beach was given its moniker due to the fact that guests were required to pay one dollar in order to spend their time there. The seas around this beach are home to a wide variety of marine life, including many species of fish, dugongs, and sea turtles.
