Temple of the Hidden Immortals

This temple, also known as the Souls Retreat Temple, was built in the year 326 AD. It is located at the base of the Lingyin Mountain. In the 10th century, this Buddhist monastery comprised over 300 structures to house roughly 3000 monks. The temple is noted for its 108 feet high hall and the 64 feet high camphor wood figure of Sakyamuni. Camphor wood is also used in another statue of the Laughing Buddha at the temple. During the Spring Festival, a great number of people go to this location.

Isle of the Hill of Solitude

Bai Di Causeway contains Gu Shan, or the Isle of the Hill of Solitude. A variety of pavilions and pagodas may be found here. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing built a palace here and manicured the region. In that palace stands the Zhejiang Provincial Museum. This serene setting is ideal for unwinding and taking in the breathtaking scenery.

Pavilion of the Autumn Moon

Hangzhou’s Autumn Moon Pavilion is located on the southeastern slope of the hill. Qianlong, the Qing Emperor, designed and built this structure. This location is known for being the best place to see a full moon. The pavilion has since been turned into a teahouse, which attracts a considerable crowd in the evening.

Dragon Well

Dragon Well is located in Hangzhou’s Longjing Village, southwest of Xi Lake. Longjing hamlet is thought to be the birthplace of Longjing tea, one of the finest tea types. You may go about the streets and observe the processing of leaves as they go through various stages of chopping, sorting, drying, and other operations. The location of Dragon Well is near the village’s end. It is essentially a spring surrounded by a lot of buildings.

Pagoda of the Six Harmonies

This pagoda, which is located on Yuelun Hill, is a magnificent edifice. The first pagoda at this location was constructed in the 4th century during the Northern Song dynasty. The pagoda is around 196 feet tall and was renovated in 1899 with the addition of outside wood casing. In ancient times, the pagoda also acted as a lighthouse. It has seven floors and is designed like an octagon. Animals, people, birds, and other colourful figures adorn the ceilings at various levels. A beautiful view of the Qiantang River Bridge may be had from the summit.
