Tomb of Quaid-i-Azam
The Tomb of Quaid-i-Azam, sometimes referred to as Mazar-e-Quaid, is regarded as one of the most significant landmarks in all of Karachi. Mohammad Ali Jinnah, who was instrumental in the formation of Pakistan, is buried at this mausoleum, which bears his name. Additionally, the graves of Fatima Jinnah and Liakat Ali Khan may be found at this location. This building rises to a height of about 31 metres, and its interiors are stunning, including fascinating designs and artwork. It wasn’t until the 1960s that the edifice, which was entirely built of marble, was finally finished. National Museum
The National Museum was created in 1950 with the purpose of preserving and exhibiting the country’s extensive artistic and cultural history for future generations. When this museum was opened, there were just four galleries available; however, there are now 11 galleries available here. The Indus Valley Civilization and the Gandhara Civilization both left behind a significant number of artefacts, many of which are still in existence today. The Buddhist and Hindu items that were found in Axial are also on display in several of the other rooms. In addition, the museum has hundreds of antique coins and a gallery devoted to the Holy Quran that contains more than 300 translations of the text of the Quran.
Defense Society Mosque
The Defense Society Mosque was first built in 1969 and is often referred to by its popular name, Masjid-e-Tooba. Just off the major Korangi Road in Karachi is where you’ll find it. Defense Housing Society is where you’ll find it. The mosque is constructed out of white marbles and has a dome that has a diameter of around 72 metres. Within the confines of the mosque stands a single minaret that reaches a height of about 70 m. This mosque’s main hall has enough seating for around 5000 people at any one time.
Memon Mosque
In Karachi, the Memon Mosque can be seen in close proximity to the Jodia Bazaar. This mosque is built on top of an ancient cemetery, and all of the tombs can be seen below it despite the mosque’s presence. The structure is held up with the assistance of a large number of pillars. The appearance of the mosque is more conventional compared to that of other recently built mosques in the city.
Clifton Beach
Clifton Beach is one of the most well-known destinations in all of Karachi, and each day brings in hundreds of visitors. Hawkes Bay & Paradise Point
These beaches are among the two most frequented ones in the Karachi area. A huge number of shacks are located in this area, all of them are available to be rented for a couple of days at a time.
French Beach
About 40 kilometres away from Karachi’s central business district is where you’ll find the French beach. It’s located between Hawks Bay and Sandspit. This location was formerly home to a quaint fishing community in the distant past. It evolved over the years into a beautiful beach that draws a significant number of visitors on the weekends. At the moment, the Pakistan Navy is in charge of managing it. This location is off-limits to anybody who does not have prior authorization to enter. A wall has been built to prevent people from entering this beach illegally.
Chaukundi Tombs
This location is well-known among those who are interested in history due to its proximity to Chaukundi. These graves are thought to have been constructed somewhere between the 13th and 16th centuries. The tombs are impressive in both appearance and construction, since they are cut out of rocks. On the headstones of women’s graves, you may often discover designs of a variety of ornaments that have been added as embellishment. The headstones of men’s tombs have been decorated with carvings of horse riders and flowers in certain cases. The location is situated around 26 kilometres, outside of the main metropolis of Karachi.
