Boshehehtsirsky Reserve

The Boshehehtsirsky Reserve was established in 1963 and is located on the slopes of the Khekhtsir Mountains in close proximity to Khabarovsk. Its position between the Amur and the Ussuri rivers gives it its name. It has a total area of 44.5 hectares, which is equivalent to 110 acres. The nature preserve is densely forested with both coniferous and deciduous trees. There are hundreds of different kinds of vascular plants, mosses, lichens, mushrooms, and algae that may be found in this area. In addition to many kinds of amphibians and reptiles, birds, and mammals, such as bears and tigers, this reserve is home to a variety of other animals. Because of the pleasant climate and the abundant vegetation, it is a popular tourist destination.

Lenin Square

The monument of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin that was erected at Lenin Square in 1925 is the reason for the square’s name. It is located in the middle of the city and is surrounded by a number of old structures of historical significance. A structure that was constructed in 1903 may be found next to the monument. Originally operating as a vocational school, it was converted into a hospital in later years. In the evening, you may also take pleasure in a fountain that is located here. This plaza is one of the spots where the residents like to go for a walk in the evening since it is quiet and peaceful. During the festivities around the New Year, this location is frequented by hordes of individuals together with their families.

Musical Comedy Theater

This theatre, which can be found on Karl Marx Street, is an excellent location for getting an introduction to the culture of this area as a whole. Roughly 900 people are able to fit inside the venue at one time. This theatre plays host to a variety of musical and dance performances throughout the year. The main hall of the theatre has been outfitted with some of the most advanced lighting and sound equipment available. This theatre has also played host to a number of concerts by well-known performers from other countries.

Military Museum

It is conveniently located adjacent to the In Tourist Hotel and provides an excellent summary of the military history of the surrounding area. The museum has done an excellent job of displaying the history of the Red Flag Far Eastern Military District. The exhibit includes a wide variety of artefacts, some of which are pictures taken by Russian soldiers throughout various conflicts that their country has been involved in. In one of the halls of the museum, there are exhibitions of various items made of amber. This museum is managed and kept in good condition by the Far Eastern Military Headquarters.

Regional Lore and Natural History Museum

The efforts of N. I. Grodekov were the driving force behind the establishment of this museum. In addition to providing an overview of the history of the area, the museum has a collection of artefacts that are associated with natural history. The objects that are stored in this museum have also been shown in a great deal of other countries’ museums and exhibits. This museum may be broken down into around a dozen distinct divisions. People who visit this museum are also given the opportunity to attend informative seminars. The museum may rightfully call itself a scientific institution at this point in its history.
