Wat Sorsor Muoy Roi
This wat is located around 40 kilometres from Kratie in a secluded location. The wat’s original structure no longer exists. The current building is a rebuild from a few years ago. This location has historical significance since it was formerly a thriving metropolis during the pre-Angkor period. There are 100 columns in the current pagoda. Vihar Lao, Vihar Sar Sar, Vihar Kork Keut, and Vihar Kork are four Buddhist temples in this area. This location hosts a four-day event during the Khmer New Year. There are several lodging options in this region.
Irrawaddy Dolphin Watching
The Irrawaddy is a well-known river that originates in the Kratie area. For tourists to Kratie, seeing dolphins in this river is a popular hobby. The finest place to see dolphins is Kompi Fisherman Village, which is located 14 kilometres north of Kratie. The ideal approach to see dolphins is to hire a boat and then sit on it while watching them in the water. You may view their snout and fins, or even the entire creature, when they come up for air. These dolphins occasionally approach the boats and begin playing, although this is an uncommon occurrence.
Wat Roka Kandal
The first pagoda on this location was constructed in the late 1800s. It became crippled with the passage of time and was eventually abandoned. At this location, a new pagoda was constructed in its stead. The older structure currently houses a training and development programme for women weavers in the area. They are taught how to make crafts out of bamboo, leaves, rattan, and other materials. In the historic structure, you may see a variety of art and craft objects manufactured by local people.
