Lake Sevan, located around 43 miles (70 km) east of Yerevan, is 6,234 feet (1900 metres) above sea level. It is the largest lake in the Caucasus region, covering 363 square km (940 sq km). The clean waters, spectacular position, and lovely ambience of this 49.7-mile (80-kilometer) long lake are well-known. The hue of the lake changes with weather and also a result of natural processes. It comes in a variety of colours, from azure to blue to green, and so on. This lake is home to a variety of beautiful fish species.
