Lashio Town

This settlement is located close to the Burma Road’s terminus in the south. In its most basic form, it is composed of two neighbourhoods: the more modern Lashio Lay and the more established Lashio Gyi. Between the two districts, Lashio Lay is much larger. The Mansu Paya, the Sasana Paya, the Buddhist Shrine, and the Quan Yin San Temple are some of the most popular tourist destinations in the area. It is estimated that the Sasana Paya is anywhere between 2,500 and 3,000 years old.
