Maliana Town
Maliana is the district capital of Bobnara, and it is situated in close proximity to the Nunura Plains. The Kemak people inhabit this area, and their homes are typically rectangular in shape. The tais gowns that the people of this area are famed for manufacturing are woven in the traditional style. The town’s lively market and an old church built in the Portuguese style are two of the most interesting places to visit here.
Balibo Town
The town of Balibo may be found in close proximity to the West Timor border. The temperature here is often a few degrees lower than what one would experience in the neighbouring locations. Along the slope of the hill is where you’ll find the Portuguese fort. Other notable places to see in this area are the Indonesian Integrasi Monument and the older Australian Flag House, which is now known as the Community Center.
