Maubisse Town
The village of Maubisse is perched on a rugged hill at an elevation of around 4,593 feet. The violence that occurred in 1999 caused significant damage to the community. This town has a pleasant atmosphere with weather that is calm and soothing. There are lovely valleys and a breathtaking mountain landscape all surrounding the town of Maubisse, both of which provide stunningly magnificent perspectives. An old fort, a market, Mambai villages with traditional dwellings, and a monument to those who died as a result of Japanese occupation during the Second World War may all be found in this area. You may also take pleasure in the Portuguese atmosphere at what was formerly a government guesthouse and has since been converted into a hotel.
Mount Ramelev
The fact that Mount Ramelev is the tallest peak in the nation has helped make it famous. Additionally, it is referred to as Gunung Tatamailau. The village of Hatubulico makes for an excellent starting point for the ascent. The height of the mountain is about 9,721 feet, and it is home to a variety of freshwater springs that are active throughout the whole year. A statue of the Virgin Mary may be seen at the peak of the mountain. When you reach the peak of the mountain, you will be rewarded with breathtaking vistas of the areas that are located all around you. The temperatures drop much below freezing during the nighttime hours here.
Aituto
Aituto is a beautiful community that retains a strong sense of its historical roots. This is a quaint little community, and its thatched roof homes have made it renowned. In days gone by, the horns of buffaloes and goats were used to decorate the tops of these homes. The round church in the centre of the hamlet and an adjacent circular structure are the two primary sites of interest in this little town.
