Ward’s Lake
The Ward’s Lake may be found in the centre part of Shillong, which is in the state of Meghalaya. Short strolls are often taken in the neighbourhood all around the lake. Another name for the lake is “Nan Polok,” which literally translates to “Pollock’s Lake.” This moniker sprang to prominence as a result of an executive engineer by the name of Pollock. The primary draws of this location are the stone walkways, the extensive selection of flowers, and the arching bridge that across the lake. In addition, there are boating facilities available for use at the lake.
The State Museum of Meghalaya
The State Museum, which can be found in Shillong, is home to a variety of relics and exhibitions that shed light on the culture and way of life of the people in the surrounding area. The year 1975 marked the beginning of operations for the museum that is now housed at the State Central Library Complex. In this location, one may see displays of traditional tools and musical instruments used by members of the Khasi people from the state of Meghalaya. In addition, the museum has a substantial collection of works of art, historical texts, and handicrafts.
Noh Kalikai waterfall Bangladesh Viewpoint
A few kilometres away from Cherapunjee is where you’ll find the Noh Kalikai Waterfall, which is consistently ranked as one of the highest waterfalls in all of India. The highest point of the waterfall provides a fantastic vantage point from which to see Bangladesh and its many locations. The waterfall is really preceded by a brook that is crystal clear and bubbling. It evolves into a mighty waterfall that crashes down a steep cliff into a deep canyon, producing a deafening roar and a whirling mist as it does so.
Mawsmai Village and Cave
In the Indian state of Meghalaya, the village and cave of Mawsmai may be found to the south of the city of Cherapunjee. There are multiple fossil pathways inside the cave, which is a popular destination for tourists. Inside the cave, there are two streamways and three exits that go out into the surrounding area. The length of the cave is more than 1,000 metres, and it consists of a complex network of subterranean channels. The cavern is perfect for explorers of all skill levels, from novices to seasoned professionals.
