Pantemakassar Town

A town with a rich historical past, Pantemakassar can be found in the Oecussi area. This little village may be found nestled in the valley between some hills and the water. This town is home to a variety of historic structures that were originally constructed in Portugal. The Integration Monument, the Mary Statue, and the Fatusuba Fort are three of the most well-known attractions in the city. The Fatusuba Fort can be found on a hilltop about a mile outside of the town itself. Within the fort is a statue of the Virgin Mary, which draws a significant number of tourists and residents alike.

Lifau Beach

About 5 kilometres away from the village of Pantemakassar is where you’ll find Lifau Beach. Because this is the location where the first Portuguese ship landed in East Timor in the 16th century, this location has a vital role in East Timor’s history. At this location is a monument that serves as a reminder of the Portuguese occupation. In addition to being a place where people like to have picnics and swim, the beach is also a popular place for people to hang out.
