Khao Phra Thaew Royal Wildlife & Forest Reserve

In the northern region of Phuket Island is where you’ll find the Khao Phra Thaew Royal Wildlife and Forest Reserve. The reserve was formed to protect the rainforests of this region, and it covers an area that is around 23 square kilometres in total. In addition to the fun of going on jungle excursions, the reserve is home to a number of breathtaking waterfalls. The reserve is especially well-known for the rare species of palm known as the langkow palm, which can only be found in this particular location.

Hat Mai Khao Beach

This beach is Phuket’s longest and most famous one. This sandy beach may be found close to the island’s northwesternmost point. During the months of November through February, the beach is overrun with turtles that have come to the area to lay their eggs. Weekends are popular times for people to go to the beach, where they may swim or take long walks along the shore. This beach also has a Visitor Center that provides a number of amenities catered specifically to the needs of vacationers. About 5 kilometres to the south of Hat Mai Khao is where you’ll find the less developed beach of Hat Nai Thon.
