Tourist Attractions in Pyay, Myanmar

Shwesandaw Paya

On the summit of a hill in the middle of Pyay town is where you’ll find the Shwesandaw Paya, which is one of the most well-known attractions in the area. You will be able to see an outstanding zedi in the form of a bell here. There is a lift that may transport guests up to the platform that the stupa sits on. Additionally, the peak provides amazing views of the surrounding surroundings.

Thayekhittaya & Hmaawza

Ancient sites may be found in the nearby communities of Thayekhittaya and Hmaawza, both of which are around eight kilometres from Pyay town. The region that is today known as Thayekhittaya was once known as Sri Ksetra, and it has a variety of ancient buildings, such as the collapsing Payama and the cylindrical Payagyi stupa. A number of artefacts that were discovered during excavations in the area are on display at the hamlet of Haamawza’s modest museum. You’ll also be able to see a number of other stupas in the region.
