Singapore Science Center, Singapore
In 1977, when the government made the decision to develop an institution to educate students on science and technology and to enlighten them about the marvels of science, this Science Center was established so that it could carry out those responsibilities. It is the only scientific centre in Singapore that focuses on education, innovation, and fostering knowledge about science and technology while providing visitors with an enjoyable experience. Today, it has over 850 scientific display halls, some of which are interactive while others are not, in which a variety of events are carried out. Over one million people go to see the attraction each and every year.
In order to educate young people in a novel and engaging way, the Singapore Science Center employs a technique known as Computer Automated Virtual Environment, or CAVE. This is a three-dimensional virtual reality system that runs on a supercomputer and enables users to communicate with one another in real time. The OmniMax Theatre is one of the latest add-on features of the centre. It is used to screen 3-D IMAX films on a variety of themes, including parks, the human body, mountaineering, and pyramids. You might also check our Aviation Gallery, which offers explanations of several aeronautics-related concepts. The exhibits in the Life Science gallery provide information on both the natural world and the humans who live in it. In addition, the centre plays host to a great deal of scientific exhibitions.
