Peradayan Forest Reserve
Peradayan Forest Reserve is a large rainforest reserve located about 9 miles (15 km) southeast of Bangar. In the reserve’s vicinity, you may see a wide range of plant and animal life. The twin peaks of Bukit Patoi and Bukit Peradayan are the reserve’s primary attractions. Trekkers come to this area specifically to reach the summits of these peaks. The hikes provide excellent views of the surrounding areas as you stroll along them. In this reserve, you may also see a variety of birds.
Ulu Temburong National Park
Ulu Temburong National Park is part of the Batu Apoi Forest Reserve and is located in the Temburong area. The park, which spans 193 square miles (500 sq km), was formed to protect the region’s natural ecology. To get to this park, you’ll need to take a boat, which takes around an hour from Bandar Seri Begawan. Floral and animal life abound throughout the park. The Canopy Walkways, which give spectacular views of the pristine rainforest, are one of the main attractions here. Kuala Belalong Field Studies Center is also located in this park, where students do tropical forest research.
