Shahi Jama-e-Masjid

The Shahi Jama-e-Masjid in Chittagong’s Anderkilla neighbourhood dates from the late 17th century. This mosque, which was formerly known as Qadam Mubarak Mosque and is located on a hillside, was once known as Qadam Mubarak Mosque. It has been repaired several times and has the appearance of a fort. It was changed in the 1950s with the inclusion of several amenities, including a larger area. The mosque’s minaret, which was built in the Saracenic style, is exceptionally tall. On the mosque’s walls are a number of inscriptions going back to the 17th century.

Chilla of Badar Shah

Badar Shah’s Chilla situated west of Bakshirhat, next to the Shahi Jama-e-Masjid. The place is famous for the burial of Badar Shah, a 14th-century Sufi saint. Around the saint’s tomb, there is a courtyard and a worship part. Many additional tombs and shops that make musical instruments may be found in this region.

Circuit House

Circuit House, which is located in Chittagong’s British City, was built in 1913. The location is currently known as the site of President Zia Rahman’s assassination. The Zia Memorial Museum is set in a large wooden structure with a variety of intriguing exhibits. The instruments used to announce the nation’s independence in 1971 may also be found here.

Ethnological Museum

The Agrabad Hotel is near to the Ethnological Museum. A variety of exhibits highlighting the country’s tribal culture may be found here. A variety of displays depict the customs and traditions of indigenous communities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

Pahartali Lake

Pahartali Lake, around 5 miles (8 kilometres) from Chittagong’s main city, is a popular picnic site for locals. Locals refer to it as Foy’s Lake since it is close to the CDA Avenue and Zakir Hussain Road intersection. The lake is surrounded by magnificent scenery and is an ideal location for boating. From the top of a hill near the lake, you can get a great view over the city and the bay.

Chandranath Temple

The Chandranath Temple is located near Sitakunda, around 22.3 miles (36 kilometres) from Chittagong. The temple is devoted to Lord Shiva, one of Hinduism’s three “Tridevs.” To go to the temple on top of a hill, you’ll need to hike for around an hour. The location also provides amazing views of the surrounding area. On Shiva Chaturdashi, when a 10-day celebration is conducted, locals go to the temple in large numbers.
