Museum of History and Local Lore

The Museum of History and Local Lore is housed within Sheki’s mediaeval citadel. The museum features some unique exhibits, including a wild boar and a deer, as well as antiques from the Middle Ages and beyond. Weapons, weaponry, and images of Karabakh martyrs may be found here. A town model depicts the massive caravanserais located down the hill.

Khan’s Palace

Within the ancient citadel stands Xan Sarayi, also known as Khan’s Palace. The original construction was built in the second half of the 18th century and was entirely rebuilt in 2003.

The palace is just two floors tall, yet it is a lovely structure with multicoloured tiles on the outer walls. These tiles have been perfectly arranged to create the amazing designs. The stained-glass windows are artistically sculpted and feature wood frames. The palace’s suites are likewise quite spectacular.
