Tham Jang Cave
Tham Jang Cave is the most well-known cave in the region, located south of Vang Vieng town. In the 19th century, people took refuge in this cave to avoid invasions by Yunnanese Chinese invaders. The cave’s main entrance is accessible by stairs. A spring with cool, pleasant water is found near the cave.
Tham Phu Klham Caves
The Tham Phy Klham Caves are situated in the middle of a forest. This location is around 5 miles (8 km) from Vang Vieng’s main town and 1 mile (1.6 km) from Ban Na Thong Village. These caverns are revered by the locals. Within the main cave, there is a pool with green-blue waters where you may take a dip. Within the cave lies a bronze reclining Buddha. Because there isn’t enough light entering the cave, it stays semi-dark inside. It is recommended that you bring a torch with you when exploring the cave.
